Recapping Arizona, USC and OSU’s bowl games and previewing the Fiesta Bowl and Sugar Bowl

In this episode of the Podcast of Champions host Ryan Abraham is in studio with David Woods joining the stream remotely to recap the Alamo, Holiday and Sun Bowls and previewing the Fiesta Bowl and Sugar Bowl., the first College Football Playoff appearance for the Pac-12 since 2016.

The guys start off breaking down what was a depleted USC squad facing No. 15 Louisville in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego. Despite the limited roster numbers the Trojans came out inspired behind Miller Moss and his USC bowl record six touchdown passes en route to a 42-28 victory.

Next up No. 14 Arizona had a monster matchup with No. 12 Oklahoma in the Alamo Bowl, one of the best games outside of the NY6 games. The Wildcats ran out to a 13-0 lead before the Sooners rattled off 28-straight. Arizona was able to capitalize on OU turnovers and finished strong for the 38-24 victory.

Finally, No. 19 Oregon State faced No. 16 Notre Dame in the Sun Bowl on Friday morning in El Paso. Both teams suffered major roster opt-outs, but the Beavers were far more depleted including the majority of their coaching staff. This one wasn’t much of a contest with ND cruising to a 40-8 victory.

The guys then look ahead to the New Year’s Day bowls with No. 8 Oregon facing No. 23 Liberty in the Fiesta Bowl and No. 2 Washington matching up with No. 3 Texas in the Sugar Bowl in the College Football Playoffs.

As usual Ryan and Dave end the podcast answering listener emails and questions from the YouTube chat.
